| A Falcon
Good Time (SID 1/9/2001)- "One of the nice things about Falcon
Crest is I got to work with actors of all generations, and some pretty
big stars," recalls John Callahan (Edmund) of his stint on the
1980s primetime sudser. "During my first week there, I worked with
a woman who was such a tough, Irish bird, that a former President of the
United States couldn't handle her: Jane Wyman, whom I love and respect.
If you were a pro, showed up on time and knew your lines, she loved you.
But she didn't suffer fools. The other fond memory I have is of Cesar
Romero, who played my father, and has since passed on." Falcon not
only would install in Callahan a new respect for such "great people
from another era," it also gave the onetime General Hospital actor
a new admiration for his current job's demands. "Anyone who gets
onto nighttime should appreciate it, because on a daytime soap you work
much harder!"
