- Monday, July 2, 2001-
Gabriel eavesdropped as Rosa arranged for Marcus to meet her at the boathouse. Rosa changed her clothes and
fixed her hair as an unseen Gabriel watched. Gabriel emerged from the bushes and Rosa realized that he had
followed her there. Rosa asked Gabriel what he wanted from her and he suddenly kissed her. Gabriel apologized after a
stunned Rosa pushed him away. Marcus arrived and Rosa revealed that Gabriel came onto her. Marcus warned Gabriel
to stay away from Rosa or else.
At the memorial service, Ryan locked eyes with Gillian at
the back of the chapel. He exclaimed to all of Gillian's loved ones that she was alive and here with him right now. Ryan
turned to point Gillian out to Alex and Dimitri but she disappeared. Ryan insisted that they scared her away.
Alone, in the chapel, Ryan begged for Gillian to come back again. Ryan felt a breeze and Gillian appeared to him. Ryan
reached out for her hand and just as their fingertips were about to touch Gillian disappeared again. Ryan called out to
her but Gillian was now standing in a long, white, empty corridor. Gillian turned around after Jesse Hubbard tapped
her on the shoulder. Jesse introduced himself to Gillian and
revealed to Gillian that she wouldn't be able to get back to Ryan because she's dead. He then lead Gillian down the
corridor and told her that "the boss man" was waiting for them. Gillian continued to call out to
Ryan.
Meanwhile, in the Wildwind living room, Gillian's guests
gathered for the reception. Hayley couldn't believe that Gillian's father wasn't in attendance while Mateo wondered
where Rosa disappeared to. Alex overheard as Erica blamed Gillian's death on her. Erica claimed that Alex was a curse
on Dimitri's entire family. Later, Alex worried that Erica was right but Dimitri assured her that she wasn't to blame.
- Monday, July 9, 2001-
After Dimitri told Alex about the information he received concerning Ryan, they
decided to leave town to investigate. An evasive Alex and Dimitri told Anna and Edmund that they were
going to Hungary for Gillian's memorial service. However, Anna suspected they were hiding
something. Anna hugged Alex farewell as she promised to make Gabriel feel like a part of the
family. Ryan arrived to request that Dimitri tear down the turrett. Dimitri told him he would speak to him
when he returned. At SOS, Bianca and Gabriel tried to escape as smoke seeped into the room. While
trying to pry open the door, Gabriel injured his shoulder. Gabriel went with Mateo
to find the source of the fire while Chris rescued an unconscious Erica from inside. Mateo expressed his gratitude to Gabriel for saving
his club. Then, he offered to help Gabriel with his problems.
- Tuesday, July 10, 2001-
Bianca thanked Gabriel for defending her but explained that she learned
to be proud of being gay because of her father reaching out to her from
beyond. Anna returned to Wildwind with fresh flowers as she enjoyed
her new found freedom. Edmund wondered what her plans were and invited her to stay at Wildwind. Mateo
interrupted to tell them about Gabriel's arrest and asked what the deal was with her brother. Anna
explained how Gabriel had a rough childhood. Later, Bianca arrived with Gabriel and he told Anna that he
intended to leave Pine Valley. Anna convinced Gabriel to stay at Wildwind by reminding him that
they were family. A reluctant Gabriel agreed as Anna embraced him.
- Monday, July 23, 2001-
Anna noticed Brooke watching as Edmund comforted her about Gabriel. Alone, Anna
suggested that she and Brooke discuss Edmund. Brooke told Anna that she had no claim on Edmund,
but Anna encouraged Brooke to go after him. Brooke explained that she was involved with Edmund a very
long time ago. Yet, Anna believed that Brooke had never stopped loving him. Brooke thought it was too
late for another chance, but Anna believed Brooke could give Edmund the happiness he deserved.
- Friday, August 3, 2001-
At Wildwind, Anna approached Gabriel about schooling, and an agitated Gabriel resisted. Against Bianca's
cautioning, Gabriel turned to alcohol and questioned the complexities of human nature. In response,
Bianca shared her personal belief that life is about finding one good friend and lover in the same
package. Gabriel misinterpreted her words and engaged Bianca in a kiss. Meanwhile, Edmund
soothed Anna's worries about Gabriel's education by suggesting that they hire tutors for him until he caught
up with other kids his age. Later, at BJ's, Anna filled Edmund in on her visit with Robin. Anna revealed
that Robin was inquisitive about her mother's relationship with Edmund. Anna then asked Edmund
if he still had feelings for Alex, but Edmund explained that he had no expectations as far as his love life was concerned.
- Monday, August 6, 2001-
Anna encouraged Brooke to pursue Edmund, and a surprised Edmund ultimately accepted Brooke's invitation to
go out on a date. Edmund wondered why Anna had put Brooke up to asking him out, and she explained that she
wanted Brooke to know that she wasn't a threat. Anna admitted that she felt her husband Robert was still alive, and
Edmund encouraged her to call her brother-in-law Mac Scorpio in Port Charles for more leads.
- Monday, August 13, 2001-
Mateo phoned Edmund at Wildwind and clued him in on his firing of Gabriel. Alone, Edmund
told Anna that apparently Gabriel had forced himself on Rosa, and Mateo reacted by firing him. Anna
believed there was an explanation for what had happened, but before she and Edmund could discuss
it any further, they were interrupted with news of the turret fire. Meanwhile, Ryan and Liza made love in
the woods. Anna and Edmund discovered them after they had finished their lovemaking. Ryan revealed to
Edmund that he had accidentally started the fire while he was looking for Gillian. Gabriel heard the sounds of a struggle at the
boathouse. Assuming it was Rosa with Marcus, Gabriel rushed in to save her. Gabriel found Marcus'
lifeless body on the ground next to a bloody oar. A shocked Gabriel picked up the oar just as Shannon
happened upon the scene. Shannon accused Gabriel of killing Marcus and bolted off. Gabriel split to find
Rosa in order to protect her. At SOS, a frantic Gabriel begged Mateo to reveal Rosa's whereabouts. An
upset Rosa emerged from the back room as Shannon arrived with the police. The police revealed to Mateo
that Marcus is in a coma after being rendered unconscious by an oar. Gabriel took the wrap for
Marcus' attack and cautioned Rosa to say nothing. Mateo alerted Edmund to Gabriel's arrest. Edmund
arrived with Anna, and she promised to unearth the real story even though Gabriel refused to talk.
- Tuesday, August 14, 2001-
The cops arrested Gabriel and took him down to the police station. Anna defended Gabriel when Warren Dunn,
Marcus' father, warned Gabriel that he would pay for hurting his son. The police commissioner arrived and
took Derek off Gabriel's case after informing him that Warren Dunn was a close friend of his. Edmund
recommended that Gabriel speak to an attorney, while he set out to do his own investigative work on
Gabriel's behalf. At the hospital, Edmund noticed Shannon entering Marcus' room, and when Edmund
questioned Shannon and remarked about the bruise on her face, Shannon bolted.
Gabriel overrode Rosa's attempt to confess and blurted out that he attacked Marcus. Alone, Derek told Warren
that he was aware of Marcus' history of hurting
women, but Warren informed him that Marcus' record was sealed.
- Wednesday, August 15, 2001-
Anna asked Gabriel why he insisted on claiming responsibility for Marcus' attack, while
Edmund pulled Derek aside and suggested that the violence stemmed from Marcus. Edmund asked Derek
if Marcus had any priors, but Derek insisted that Edmund leave the investigation to the police. Warren
overheard and hatched a plan to throw suspicion off of his son. Warren told his wife to bring Marcus'
belongings to the police station, but to say that his watch was missing. Mrs. Dunn slipped the watch to her
husband so that he could plant it in Rosa's purse. Warren announced that he wanted to file a robbery
report for the stolen watch, and then he accused Gabriel of hitting Marcus while robbing him. Warren
accused Rosa of being Gabriel's accomplice in the robbery and demanded that they search her. The
missing watch appeared in Rosa's purse, but she denied stealing it. Mateo implored his sister to tell the
police what had happened at the boathouse. An upset Rosa confessed that Marcus tried to rape her,
but Warren called her a lying slut. Chaos ensued when Mateo punched Warren, while Gabriel pulled
Rosa away. The commissioner ordered Gabriel and Rosa to be locked up, but the police discovered that
they were already gone.
- Monday, August 20, 2001-
Edmund investigated at the hospital to prove Gabriel and Rosa's innocence. Edmund learned from Marcus' nurse that Marcus had been wearing a watch when he first arrived. Edmund relayed the information to Derek, but he warned Edmund to let the police do the detective work. Shannon found Edmund probing Mindy, and she told Edmund to mind his own business. Edmund noted Shannon's bruise, and he later checked to see if records existed revealing domestic violence in her home. Nothing uncovered, Edmund suggested to Derek that Marcus might have a history of violent behavior. Hiding at the Wildwind Mausoleum, Gabriel comforted Rosa, and she apologized for not trusting Gabriel's intuition about Marcus. Rosa admitted to Gabriel that she had never been so scared in her life. Fearing that the police would soon catch up to them, Rosa and Gabriel decided to leave town. Before departing, Rosa gently placed her hand to Maria's plaque and asked her sister to watch over them.
- Tuesday, August 21, 2001-
At Wildwind, Anna caught Gabriel and Rosa as they attempted to run away. Gabriel demanded that Anna not get involved, but she reminded Gabriel that she was his sister and she loved him. With Rosa's help, Anna persuaded them to stay overnight. Anna swore she would stay quiet, and then she headed to the main house to fetch them some food. Anna gathered food and supplies in a bag as Edmund arrived home. Edmund noticed the supplies and realized that Anna must have found her brother. Anna kept Gabriel and Rosa's whereabouts from Edmund, despite his protests and his fear for the kids' safety. Anna told Edmund that she couldn't sell out Gabriel to the police because he would never trust anyone again. Anna remained mum, fearful the police would do more harm than good. Derek then arrived with help and told Edmund that he must search every inch of Wildwind for Gabriel and Rosa.
- Wednesday, August 22, 2001-
Gabriel and Rosa arrived at Erica's home and asked Bianca for help. Upon Erica and Chris' return, Bianca hid Rosa and Gabriel in the closet. Erica detected that Bianca was shaken up about something, but Bianca covered to her mother. Meanwhile, Gillian still didn't know why they were observing Chris, and Jesse revealed that she would understand soon. Bianca snuck Gabriel and Rosa out of her house and took them to the Pine Cone Motel, unaware that Warren Dunn's P.I. had followed them there. Edmund told Derek that Gabriel and Rosa had been hiding in the stables to throw him off track. Edmund then gave Anna money to distribute to the kids. Furthermore, Edmund unveiled his plan to obtain information from Shannon. Edmund told Anna that Shannon knew something, and he was going to get the truth out of her. Edmund arrived at the hospital with Anna, who was dressed as her sister, Dr. Alex Devane. In Marcus' room, "Alex" revealed to Shannon that new tests showed that Marcus was close to recovery. Later, outside the room, Edmund appeared to "comfort" an upset Shannon. He questioned Shannon again about what had happened to Marcus, but she refused to talk. "Alex" rushed out of Marcus' room and announced that there was a change in his condition. Upon returning from Marcus' room, Edmund told Shannon that Marcus had awoke from his coma and told them everything.
- Thursday, August 23, 2001-
"Alex" told Shannon that she gave Marcus a sedative, but that he told the truth about the night he was attacked before falling asleep. Shannon broke down and admitted that she hit Marcus with an oar after he started to attack her when she confronted him about trying to rape Rosa. Edmund phoned Jackson and revealed that Shannon had confessed to hitting Marcus with the oar, but that the attack was in self-defense. Jackson offered to represent Shannon and asked her to recount the story. An unseen Mrs. Dunn overheard Shannon confessing and immediately phoned her husband. Shannon realized Edmund and Anna had tricked her into telling the truth when Anna admitted to Mrs. Dunn that Marcus still had not woken up. Anna berated Mrs. Dunn for turning her cheek to Marcus' violent nature as she reminded her of Gabriel's innocence. Anna said that she refused to allow her brother to take the rap any longer. Meanwhile, Warren pulled Shannon aside and warned her that he would put Shannon's family out on the street unless she did exactly what he said. Bianca was confused as to why Gabriel and Rosa wouldn't come forward with the truth. Gabriel revealed to Bianca that Warren Dunn was framing them for Marcus' attack. Bianca then learned that Marcus had tried to rape Rosa. An upset Rosa asked Bianca if she would call the hospital to check on Marcus. Bianca wondered if Rosa was worried that he would die, but Rosa said that she was scared he would live. Bianca worried about Rosa's emotional state, and she promised to check in on Rosa's mother to ease her mind. Alone, Gabriel assured Rosa that he would look out for her as he offered to draw her a hot bath. Later, Rosa awoke screaming from a nightmare about the attempted rape. As Gabriel comforted Rosa, the police arrived to place them under arrest. At that same moment, Dunn's PI snapped a photograph of Gabriel and Rosa in bed together.
- Thursday, August 30, 2001-
Edmund and Anna arrived with Maddie and Sam to celebrate with the family. Edmund noted to Isabella how happy Maria would have been. Feeling out of place at the family celebration, Anna disappeared from the waiting room. Edmund followed Anna to the sun porch and asked what she was upset about. Anna told Edmund that she didn't want to interrupt the family reminiscing about Maria. Edmund surmised that Anna was thinking about Robin and Robert. Anna then pulled out an envelope which contained the last letter that Robert had written to Robin. Anna shared Robert's letter with Edmund as tears rolled down her cheeks. Anna admitted that she heard Robert's voice as she read his words. Anna heard a reverb of the boat explosion she had survived, and she told Edmund that she remembered seeing Robert die in the blast. A sympathetic Edmund asked Anna to join the family celebration surrounding the birth of Hayley's child. However, a defensive Anna stated that she must find her own family as she rushed away.
