- Tuesday, October 3, 2000-
Jake pushed Gillian away after he could not make love to her. Gillian tried to
reassure her husband, but Jake told her there was a chance his impotence could
be permanent so he was letting her go. Gillian pleaded with Jake to let her be
there for him, but he walked out after asking Gillian to leave. Gillian went to
see Ryan at the turret and revealed that she still had not been able to tell
Jake about their relationship. Ryan then asked Gillian if she had slept with
Jake.
- Wednesday, October 4, 2000-
Gillian told Ryan that she and Jake did not sleep together, but that there were
complications. Ryan guessed that Jake was unable to make love and Gillian begged
him to keep Jake's secret. Gillian tried to make a disappointed Ryan understand
that she could not walk away from Jake, even though Jake had let her go. Gillian
asked Ryan for more time, but he ran out of the turret at the thought of Jake
and Gillian together.
- Thursday, October 5, 2000-
Eliot called Edmund and asked him to go to Brooke. Edmund found an emotionally
shattered Brooke, who told him she wanted to kill Eliot.
- Friday, October 6, 2000-
Edmund comforted Brooke as she explained that Eliot was the man responsible for
drunk driving accident that killed her young daughter, Laura.
- Tuesday, October 17, 2000-
Dimitri told Edmund he would not allow him to sell Wildwind. Dimitri offered to
buy the estate, saying it obviously meant nothing to his brother, but Edmund
refused to sell it to Dimitri. Alex interrupted their fight and warned the
brothers that their hatred would harm all of them. Alex questioned Edmund about
destroying Dimitri's memorial plaque, but Dimitri said Edmund was not
responsible. Dimitri was shocked when Edmund revealed that he was indeed the one
who pried the plaque off the wall. Back at the Hunting Lodge, Alex suggested
that she and Dimitri go to Vadzel immediately, but Dimitri said he could not
leave until he worked things out with Edmund. Alex worried that Edmund had
changed in a way that even he could not control. Meanwhile, Edmund was tormented
by Alf, who told Edmund he knew what needed to be done to stop Dimitri.
- Thursday, October 19, 2000-
Gillian and Jake distributed Halloween masks to the children in the pediatric
ward. David cornered Gillian and pressed her about the research project he
assumed Jake was working on. Jake interrupted them and warned David to keep out
of his way. David suggested they team up on the research project, but Jake saw
right through David's offer. Later, Jake and Gillian shared a dance at the
hospital and made plans for lunch at the Valley Inn. Determined to find out what
Jake was researching, David headed off to the hotel after Jake and Gillian.
- Friday, October 20, 2000-
As they ate at the Valley Inn, Gillian questioned Jake about the reason for his
good mood. Jake revealed that he had received a report on an experimental drug
which could potentially heal his nerve damage. At the same time, in the coat
room, David rifled through Jake's briefcase and got the details on the drug.
After lunch, Jake decided to ask Tad if he and Gillian could use the Chandler
Enterprises jet for a romantic trip to New York. Meanwhile, Ryan offered Tad the
chance to be a part of the Incredible Dreams IPO. After commenting on Ryan's
intense focus, Tad agreed to participate in the public offering. As Ryan was
about to leave Tad's office, Gillian and Jake arrived. Ryan told the Martins
about his IPO and invited them to a party he was throwing to celebrate. After
Ryan left, Jake and Tad made arrangements for the trip while Gillian slipped out
to see Ryan.
- Wednesday, October 25, 2000-
Gillian returned to the lounge to console Jake, who said he did not feel like
the man he needed to be. Jake then noticed Ryan's commercial on the television.
Upset, Jake threw the TV against the wall.
- Thursday, October 26, 2000-
Gillian attempted to soothe Jake, but he raged that he could never escape Ryan
and tore out of the room. David apologized to Dixie, but she did not believe him
and accused him of manipulating her. Gillian burst into David's office and
yelled at him for what he said to Jake. Dixie took Gillian to the lounge to cool
off and Gillian questioned how Dixie could work for David. Dixie replied that
she had mistakenly believed there was a part of David that could be saved. After
Dixie left to clean out her desk, Jake came in. Before he and Gillian could
discuss what happened, Tina arrived seeking Jake's help with an emergency. Ryan
dropped in on Adam and asked him to invest in Incredible Dreams to make the IPO
a guaranteed success, but Adam turned him down. Ryan then offered to make Adam's
dream come true, and Adam agreed to consider an investment if Ryan could make
Liza see that she and Adam belong together.
- Friday, October 27, 2000-
Tina brought Jake and Gillian to a cabin in the woods where Leila, the pregnant
woman David had turned away from the hospital, was about to give birth. Tina
went off to call for an ambulance, but Gillian stayed to help Jake with the
delivery. Leila gave birth to a baby boy whom she named Jake. Gillian was moved
by Jake's tenderness with Leila and the baby. Later, Jake and Gillian shared a
kiss and Jake told Gillian that he wanted her.
- Monday, October 30, 2000-
Jake told Gillian that he wanted to be with her. He convinced Gillian that even
though he could not make love to her as he had in the past, he could still show
her how much he loved her. After their lovemaking, Gillian assured Jake she felt
completely loved and cared for. Jake and Gillian later professed their love for
each other and Gillian agreed to move in with Jake.
- Wednesday, November 1, 2000-
At their office, Alex inquired about David's research into Libidozone. David
pretended to agree to drop the project when Alex said it did not serve the
foundation's mission. Jake and Gillian returned home and told Joe, Tad and Dixie
that they were moving in together. Alone, a distraught Dixie confessed to
Gillian that she and David had kissed. Gillian assured Dixie it was not her
fault and recommended that she stay away from David completely. At Ryan's
request, Liza visited him at the loft. Ryan asked her to tell him the one dream
she would want fulfilled. Liza began to describe a romantic yacht trip she and
Adam once shared. She stopped when she realized Adam was behind Ryan's question,
but Ryan denied working for Adam. After Liza left, Ryan called Adam and said he
had what he needed to make Adam's dream come true. Ryan then asked Adam to share
his secret for success. Edmund informed Dimitri that he had sold Wildwind. After
Dimitri revealed that he had secretly purchased the estate, Edmund heard Alf
egging him on to get rid Dimitri. When Dimitri left, Edmund told Alf he wanted
to kill him, not Dimitri. Alex entered as Edmund screamed that he wanted Alf out
of his head. Edmund tried to cover, but finally admitted to Alex that he was
having visions of his stepfather. Alex suggested that Edmund see a therapist and
agreed not to tell Dimitri about Alf. Alex then told Edmund she believed in him
as Dimitri watched unseen from the doorway.
- November 17, 2000-
Alex asks
Brooke for help with feuding brothers, Edmund and Dimitri. Brooke
ends up having to step in when the brothers get into a nasty
arguement.
- Monday, December 4, 2000-
At BJ's, Ryan told Jake he had the check from the fundraiser. Ryan suggested
they make the party an annual event, but Jake did not want to because people had
gotten sick. Ryan said there was no evidence of food poisoning, but Jake replied
that Dixie had been hospitalized. Concerned, Ryan found Gordon, who told him
that the guests were fine, but Jake told Ryan he needed to take responsibilty
for what happened at the party. Later, Ryan surprised Gillian with an engagement
ring.
- Wednesday, December 6, 2000-
Ryan was incredulous when Jake accused him of drugging his guests with
Libidozone to get Gillian back. Derek interrupted their argument and Jake
offered to give him proof to back up his allegations. Gillian and Jake had
words. Later, Gillian assured Ryan she believed in his innocence. Meanwhile,
David called Donald Steele, the tabloid reporter, and fed him a story about Ryan
drugging the party guests. Donald gleefully told David that Ryan would be
destroyed when the story broke.
- Thursday, December 7, 2000-
On the yacht, Adam ordered Ryan to start spin control after seeing allegations
in the paper that Ryan drugged the party guests. While Hayley asked Ryan about
the drug, Mateo informed Adam that Dimitri hired a team of divers to scour the
ocean floor. Adam told Mateo that Marian saw Adam with Arlene's body and knew
Hayley was responsible. Hayley walked in and the looks on Adam and Mateo's faces
made her question if they had heard something from Arlene, but they denied it.
As the divers conducted their search, Edmund wondered if there was a connection
between the Libidozone and Alex's disappearance. Later, the divers informed
everyone they had found something.
- Friday, December 8, 2000-
Dimitri's divers retrieved a Marick crest brooch that Alex wore the night of the
party, and the discovery only increased Dimitri's suspicions of Edmund. Dimitri
concocted a plan to trap Edmund and filed assault charges against Edmund with
Derek. After learning from the divers that anything that had fallen overboard
would have been washed out to sea already, Adam prepared to "visit"
Arlene in Europe and have divorce papers forged. Later, Liza came looking for
Adam and took off for the airport when Marian told her Adam was on his way to
Europe.
