June 2, 2003-
Anna is devastated over the loss of Leora. David is equally devastated but
his silent grief turns to anger as he lashes out at Tad and Joe and accuses them
of killing Leora. David vows to make Tad and Joe suffer the same pain that he
feels. Anna holds Leora for one last time as she sings her a lullaby.
- Tuesday,
June 3, 2003-
After saying her final goodbye to Leora, Anna finds David vowing revenge
against Tad and Joe. David storms out and ends up at the waterfall where Leo
died and voices his grief to his late brother. Greenlee arrives and assures
David that Leora is with Leo in heaven. Tad and Joe try to convince Anna that
she isn't responsible for Leora's death because she decided to go ahead with the
surgery. Anna breaks down in Aidan's arms and blames herself for Leora's death.
- Wednesday,
June 4, 2003-
Greenlee tries to reach out to David, urging him to unleash his feelings of
grief over losing Leora but he remains stoic. Meanwhile, Aidan takes Anna home
where she is faced with reminders of Leora. Anna tries to reach out to David
when he returns home and wants his help in planning Leora's funeral. David
refuses to discuss the funeral and later smashes the cradle he made for Leora.
While recruiting contestants for the "Sexiest Man" contest, Simone
inadvertently causes an awkward encounter between Mia, Edmund and Maria. Edmund
and Maria return home to find Maddie upset after having a nightmare about
Flanders. Edmund wants to reclaim the time he and Maria lost together and asks
her to marry him. Maria joyously accepts Edmund's proposal.

June 5, 2003-
David refuses to go to the funeral home with Anna to
make arrangements for Leora's funeral. Feeling shut out by David, Anna calls
Jack for support. Anna admits to Jack that she doesn't believe David could have
saved Leora. Tad and Joe go to David's cabin to drop off Leora's belongings from
the hospital. David once again accuses Joe and Tad of being responsible for
Leora's death. Alone, David breaks down as he holds one of Leora's toys.

June 6, 2003-
Anna tries to reach out to David, but he continues to shut her out. David is
lost in own private world of grief over losing Leora. Anna breaks down after
receiving a delivery of diapers and is further distraught by David's distance.
Alone, David fantasizes about seeing a five-year-old Leora.

June 9, 2003-
Anna is devastated when David remains unresponsive and appears as if he
won't attend Leora's funeral service. Anna is later grateful, and somewhat
apprehensive, when David arrives as the service begins. Over Joe's protests, Tad
goes to Leora's funeral to pay his respects to Anna. David breaks down as he
speaks to a vision of a five-year-old Leora at the funeral. After the other
mourners have left, Anna and David give in to their rage and grief and blame
each other for Leora's death.

June 10, 2003-
Anna and David continue to blame each other for Leora's death. In the end,
Anna blames herself and begins to believe she caused Leora's death by allowing
herself to love and trust David.
- Wednesday,
June 11, 2003-
Anna doesn't want to be at the cabin when David returns and she goes to see
Jack. Jack tries to convince Anna that she isn't to blame for Leora's death.
Anna accepts Jack's invitation to spend the night in his guest room. Erica is
taken aback when she sees Anna in a pair of Jack's pajamas. Jack becomes angry
at Erica's immature attitude and lack of compassion for Anna. While arguing with
Erica, Jack suddenly collapses. David encounters Laurie at the cemetery. Laurie
explains how her mother's death affected her. David is somewhat comforted by
Laurie's story. Maggie and Aidan begin to sort through Leora's belongings at the
cabin as Maggie tries to make Aidan see that David is in pain. David returns and
accuses Aidan and Maggie of trying to make it seem as though Leora never
existed.
- Thursday,
June 12, 2003-
Anna tends to an unconscious Jack as she orders Erica to call for an
ambulance. David accuses Joe of deliberately stalling to give him the results of
Leora's autopsy. David breaks into Joe's office and finds the pathologist's
report. Joe catches David in his office but David flies into a rage, accusing
Joe of falsifying the report when he doesn't find proof that Joe acted
negligently during Leora's surgery. Tad forces David away from Joe. Anna sees
David being led out of the hospital.
- Monday,
June 16, 2003-
Edmund surprises Maria with an elegant, midnight wedding ceremony at the
Wildwind chapel. After Father Claude performs the service, Edmund and Maria
declare their love for one another and return to their bedroom as husband and
wife. Jamie and Laurie take a drunken Doug to the clinic. David berates Doug for
being a horrible father to Laurie.
- Wednesday,
June 18, 2003-
While at BJ's, Aidan is hurt to learn that Edmund and Maria got re-married
the previous night. Kendall insinuates to Maria that she and Aidan are dating.
Maria voices her hope that Aidan will find happiness. Aidan angrily admits to
Kendall that he is devastated over finally realizing that he has lost Maria to
Edmund for good. Kendall tries to convince Aidan not to leave town. Alone with
his pain, Aidan begins to destroy the room he and Maria shared at The Pine Cone.
Maria assures Edmund she wants to concentrate on their future together and not
her past as Maureen. Maria tells Joe she wants to return to work at the hospital
as a doctor.

June 19, 2003-
David tries to enlist Kenny to help him sue Tad and Joe and becomes furious
when Kenny points out that a lawsuit would never be successful. David sees that
Jamie is upsetting Laurie and moves to defend her. Anna tries to return to work
but can't take her thoughts off of Leora. Anna tells Aidan she fears what David
might do next.
- Friday,
June 20, 2003-
Tad arrives at BJ's to find David and Jamie in a heated exchange about
Laurie with David on the verge of physically attacking Jamie. As the tension
escalates, David continues on his rant and hits Tad. Anna arrives and breaks up
Tad and David's fight. Anna is saddened by David's anger towards Joe and Tad but
warns David she will have him jailed if he continues his vendetta.

June 23, 2003-
David tries to enlist Kenny to help him sue Tad and Joe and becomes furious
when Kenny points out that a lawsuit would never be successful. David sees that
Jamie is upsetting Laurie and moves to defend her. Anna tries to return to work
but can't take her thoughts off of Leora. Anna tells Aidan she fears what David
might do next.

June 24, 2003-
David inadvertently frightens Maddie as she, Edmund, Maria and Sammy have a
picnic on the beach. Realizing all that he has lost, David can barely cover his
contempt as Maria explains that she and Edmund are back together as a family.
David is shocked when Maria embraces him and thanks him for saving her life.
- Wednesday,
June 25, 2003-
David talks to the manager and prevents Laurie from being fired. Bianca is
shocked when Anna shows her a photo of Lena in bed with Bob Barrett, the Chief
Financial Officer of Chandler Enterprises. David and Anna encounter each other
at Leora's grave. Anna wants her and David to grieve together but he shuts down
when Anna insists that no one, including David or Joe, is responsible for
Leora's death.

June 26, 2003-
David prevents Doug from leaving the intervention Laurie, Tad, Brooke and
Jamie surprised him with. Pained over losing his own daughter, David gets tough
with Doug, telling him he doesn't deserve to have a daughter as wonderful as
Laurie. David's words get through to Doug, who breaks down as he promises Laurie
that he will change his behavior.
- Monday,
June 30, 2003-
Aidan outfits Mia with a hidden microphone as they, along with Kendall, head
to the Valley Inn to set a trap for Michael.
