- Thursday,
May 1, 2003-
Aidan is surprised to see the truce between Erica and Kendall. Maria is
pleased over Maddie's growing acceptance of Aidan. Maria takes Maddie back to
Wildwind and they are shocked to find Mia in Edmund's arms. Edmund goes after
Maddie after she insists that Mia leave Edmund alone. Maria and Mia have a catty
exchange about Edmund. Mia wonders if Maria will accept her and Edmund's
relationship.

May 2, 2003-
Aidan accuses Chris of being responsible for Jack's shooting. Chris denies
Aidan's allegations but admits Flanders might have acted on his own by going
after Jack. Erica accuses Chris of shooting Jack and begins to physically attack
him after overhearing Chris talking to Aidan. Aidan promises Erica he will find
the person who shot Jack.
- Tuesday,
May 6, 2003-
Edmund tries to reassure Mia that Maddie will warm up to her. Edmund is
touched when Mia suggests that they take Maddie on a picnic.
- Wednesday,
May 7, 2003-
Mia does her best to win Maddie over while on their picnic in the park with
Edmund. Edmund is impressed by Mia's efforts. Mia is pleased when Maddie asks
her play hide-and-seek. Meanwhile, Chris and Evan meet in the park as planned. A
fight ensues when Evan finds Chris' hidden tape recorder. Evan gets the upper
hand and shoots Chris, which Maddie sees. Evan then points his gun at Maddie as
Edmund frantically calls out for her. Maria grows emotional when Aidan announces
his plan to move them from the Pine Cone into the Valley Inn. Maria is moved by
Aidan's feelings for her and they make love. Later, Aidan shocks Maria with a
marriage proposal.
- Thursday, May 8, 2003-
As Chris lies shot, Evan takes aim at Maddie in order to eliminate the only
witness to his crime. After hearing Edmund calling out for Maddie, Evan quickly
takes off with shot Chris. Edmund finds Maddie, who is in shock, and she is
taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, Maria is reluctant to accept Aidan's marriage
proposal as she worries what might happen if her memory were to return. Aidan
gives Maria a heartfelt speech about his feelings for her and she accepts his
proposal. As Aidan is about to put the ring on Maria's finger, she gets Edmund's
call about Maddie and races to the hospital. Maria becomes alarmed when she
realizes Maddie witnessed the shooting and alerts Edmund. Evan sneaks into
Maddie's hospital room.
- Friday,
May 9, 2003-
Evan sneaks into Maddie's room with the intention of silencing her
permanently but his plan is thwarted when Maddie wakes up and calls out for
Maria and Edmund. Realizing the danger Maddie is in, Edmund forms a plan to have
Maria go into hiding with Maddie and asks Aidan to go along to protect them.
- Monday,
May 12, 2003-
Edmund explains to Maddie why she must go into
hiding with Maria and Aidan. Edmund, Maria, and Aidan sneak Maddie out of the
hospital. As Maria and Aidan take Maddie to hide out on Adam's yacht, Edmund
returns to Wildwind with a child size doll to use as a decoy for Maddie in order
to draw Evan out.
- Tuesday,
May 13, 2003-
While hiding out on the yacht, Maria is touched when
Aidan places the engagement ring he got her on her finger. Maria flies into
action when she thinks Maddie is in danger but it is only a false alarm. Maria
vows to always protect Maddie as only a mother can. Derek convinces Edmund to
leave Wildwind in the hope it will lure Evan into action. At Wildwind, Evan
knocks Derek unconscious and begins to look for Maddie. Mia enters Wildwind with
a gift for Maddie and doesn't realize the danger she is walking in on.
- Wednesday,
May 14, 2003-
Edmund is desperate to track down Mia and becomes
concerned when Derek doesn't answer his call. Meanwhile, Mia discovers Derek
tied up in the closet at Wildwind. Evan attacks Mia and forces her to answer the
phone when it rings. Mia hears Maddie on the other end of the phone and realizes
neither Maddie nor Edmund at inside Wildwind. Mia kicks Evan and they struggle
over his gun. Edmund races to Wildwind when Aidan tells him that Mia is there.
Maria's memories of being Maddie's mother return as she sings Maddie a lullaby.
- Thursday,
May 15, 2003-
Evan threatens to kill Mia unless she tells him where Maddie is. Edmund
sneaks into Wildwind and rescues Mia from Evan, who manages to escape after
grabbing Edmund's cell phone. Maria tells Aidan she remembers being a mother to
Maddie and is later hit with more memories of Maddie as a baby. Aidan fears he
will lose Maria to Edmund when Maria doesn't respond when Aidan addresses her as
"Maureen" but does respond when he calls her Maria.
- Friday,
May 16, 2003-
Aidan realizes that Maria's memory might be returning and fears what it will
mean for their relationship. Tad's friends and family reach out to help him cope
on the one-year anniversary of Dixie's death.
- Monday,
May 19, 2003-
Maria has a nightmare in which she is forced to
choose between Edmund and Aidan as her memories of Edmund continue to return.
When Maddie calls Edmund's cell phone, which Evan stole, Evan learns that Maddie
is hiding out on the yacht.
- Tuesday,
May 20, 2003-
Maria and Aidan determine that Maddie accidentally
alerted Evan to their whereabouts and are then shocked to realize that the yacht
is moving. Aidan gives Maria a gun and orders her to hide with Maddie while he
goes on deck to stop Evan. Evan knocks Aidan unconscious and finds Maria and
Maddie. Maria is overpowered by Evan, who throws Maddie overboard as a horrified
Maria helplessly watches. Edmund and Derek realize that Evan is on the yacht
with Maria, Aidan and Maddie and alert the Coast Guard.
- Wednesday,
May 21, 2003-
Aidan overpowers Evan as he tries to prevent Maria
from jumping overboard to rescue Maddie. Once free of Evan's grip, Maria dives
into the water to save her daughter. In the process of rescuing Maddie, Maria is
hit with a memory of doing the exact same thing when Maddie was an infant.
Meanwhile, Aidan manages to get the upper hand on Evan on the yacht. Maria looks
on in horror as the yacht explodes after crashing into the rocks.

May 22, 2003-
Edmund and Maria go with Maddie as she is taken to the hospital. Maria
refuses to believe that Aidan might have died in the explosion on the yacht. As
Maria is about to share what happened in the water, Aidan walks into the
hospital. Edmund watches as Maria races into Aidan's arms. David continues to
fight Anna on her decision to have Leora outfitted with a pacemaker. Joe
supports Anna's decision to have Leora undergo surgery and forbids David from
observing the procedure. David later tells Anna he will stop fighting her
decision to have Leora undergo surgery and they embrace.

May 23, 2003-
Maria is greatly relieved to see Aidan alive and well. Aidan privately
believes that Maria has remembered more than she is admitting and senses a shift
in their relationship.
- Monday,
May 26, 2003-
Kendall voices her anger about Erica to Aidan and explains that Erica
rejected her again after they successfully teamed up against Michael. Kendall
warns Aidan that Maria might love him but that she might always be in love with
Edmund. Edmund and Maria rejoice over the fact that she remembers everything
about their life together. Maria tells Edmund she wants her life back with him
but regrets the pain it will cause Aidan. Maria and Edmund make love while
anticipating their newfound future together.

May 27, 2003-
Maria and Edmund wake up together, very much in love after their five years
apart. Maddie and Sammy are thrilled to find Maria with Edmund and they share
their first happy moment as a family. Mia arrives to witness Edmund and Maria's
closeness with their children. Although hurt and angry, Mia accepts that Maria
is the love of Edmund's life. Mia walks away from Edmund. Maria goes to the Pine
Cone and says an emotional goodbye to Aidan while voicing her regret for having
hurt him. Maria returns her engagement ring and leaves Aidan alone with his
pain. Maria is overjoyed when Maddie and Sammy throw her a party for all the
birthdays they missed sharing together.

May 29, 2003-
Aidan arrives and saves Kendall from a menacing Michael. Kendall realizes
that Maria is back with Edmund. Aidan and Kendall fall back into their easy
friendship and debate the merits of having fun with someone without falling in
love. Adam is angry when he learns of Michael's attack on Erica but agrees to
keep doing business with Michael. David and Anna share their fears as they take
Leora to the hospital for her pacemaker surgery. Anna reminds David that he
isn't allowed in the operating room during the procedure and Joe later
reiterates the same. Unable to sit back and do nothing while Leora is being
operated on, David dresses in surgical garb and prepares to sneak into the
operating room. Isabella is overjoyed when she realizes that Maria regained her
memory. Maria assures Isabella that her romantic relationship with Aidan is over
but that she will always consider him to be a friend.
- Friday,
May 30, 2003-
Kendall stops herself from kissing Aidan as she realizes he is still in love
with Maria. Maria arrives to ask Kendall to look out for Aidan as a friend.
Kendall becomes angry at Maria and accuses her of having used Aidan. Aidan
defends Maria to Kendall, explaining he would rather remember the love he had
for "Maureen" as opposed to letting himself hate Maria. David enters
the operating room at a critical point in Leora's surgery and Joe demands that
he leave. David begins barking orders at the surgical team, desperate to save
Leora, but only makes the situation worse. Tad physically removes David from the
operating room. Tad allows David to return to Anna's side.
