November 1, 2002-
Maria forces Edmund to stop pummeling David. Edmund
is shocked by Maria's defense of David. David prevents Edmund from being
arrested on assault charges. Edmund bares his heart to Maria and admits he is
angry over having her stolen away from him. Anna takes David to her room to
treat his wounds. David owns up to his faults and encourages Anna to pursue a
future with a man like Jack. A brazen Kendall covers for Aidan by acting as his
fill-in bartender at the Valley Inn when he abruptly leaves his shift after
rejecting the advances of an older female patron. Palmer is impressed by Kendall
when she puts Aidan's admirer in her place. Aidan arrives at Kendall's room.
- Monday,
November 4, 2002-
Maria pulls back from making love with Edmund
when he inadvertently calls her Maria instead of Maureen. Maria admires Edmund
for his devotion to her memory. Edmund tells Maria he is falling in love with
her all over again. Maria kisses Edmund and they agree to take things slowly.
Edmund questions Maria about her feelings for David. Maria understands why
Edmund loathes David but tries to explain that her experiences with him were
much different. Aidan and Kendall reach out to one another over their loneliness
and end up making love. After making love, Kendall explains to Aidan that she
isn't ready for him to spend the night.
- Tuesday,
November 5, 2002-
David is heartened when Anna tells him she has no
regrets about their night of lovemaking. Anna agrees to give David another
chance and explains why she resigned as Chief of Police. Jack is unhappily
surprised to find David in Anna's room. Anna agrees to consider Jack's offer to
take a leave of absence instead resigning permanently. David assures Anna he
isn't keeping any more secrets from her. Maria thanks Edmund for being patient
with her. Maria and Edmund both admit that they can't stop thinking about their
kiss as they fall into another one, which Sam and Maddie see. Sam and Maddie are
thrilled when Maria agrees to join Edmund as he drops them off for their play
dates. Kendall is embarrassed when Aidan catches her leaving him her phone
number at work. Kendall tries to mask her insecurities as she explains she
didn't want Aidan to feel obligated to call her just because they slept
together. Aidan asks Kendall out on a date. Aidan sees Maria and Edmund enter
the Valley Inn bar. Aidan understands why Maria broke their date the previous
night in order to spend time with Edmund. Maria is grateful for Aidan's
friendship. Kendall is hurt and angry when she comes to believe that Aidan just
used her as a replacement for Maria. Aidan is stunned by Kendall's tirade. Maria
is hit by another memory of David, who approaches her and Edmund. Maria suddenly
runs from the table as Edmund and David argue. Maria remembers David digging in
the sand. Edmund refuses to let Maria drive off alone.
- Wednesday,
November 6, 2002-
Maria is determined to discover the truth after
experiencing another memory of David. Edmund insists on going with Maria as she
drives off towards the site of the plane crash. While driving, Maria becomes
more and more agitated over her confusion about David. Maria loses control of
the car as it spins off the road and lands at the bottom of a ravine. Maria is
unable to revive an unconscious Edmund and frantically calls 911. A desperate
Maria then calls David for help and tells him that Edmund isn't breathing. David
urges Maria to stay calm and begins to coach her on how to perform a tracheotomy
to create an air passage for Edmund. David promises Anna that he will work to
regain her trust.
- Thursday,
November 7, 2002-
As Anna and Maggie look on, David coaches Maria
as she performs a tracheotomy on Edmund. Anna tells David his best aspects came
through and embraces him. Unbeknownst to David, a man videotapes him instructing
Maria. Kendall has nothing to say to Aidan, who refuses to leave. Aidan tells
Kendall that he cares about her. Kendall accuses Aidan of wanting to have been
with Maria instead of her. Aidan tries to convince Kendall otherwise and kisses
her.
- Friday,
November 8, 2002- Maria keeps vigil by a hospitalized Edmund's
bedside. Edmund regains consciousness but can't yet speak. Edmund and Maria
share a warm moment. Maria confronts David over her distorted memories and
questions whether or not he wants her memory to fully return. David realizes he
is doomed if Maria remembers everything but covers his fear with anger and
storms off. Maria follows David and finds him furiously digging for something on
the beach. Maria asks David what he has been hiding. Anna begins to fear that
David is lying to her again.
- Monday,
November 11, 2002- Maria finds David digging something up on the
beach at the site of the plane crash and furiously demands that he tell her the
complete truth about what he did to her. Meanwhile, Anna fears that David is
still keeping secrets. Anna encounters David and Maria at the crash site as
Maria insists that David reveal what he has buried there. In her defense of
David, Anna implores Maria to let the past stay buried and concentrate on the
future. Maria is shocked and angered by Anna's request and starts to dig in the
sand with her bare hands. Maria screams when she realizes what she uncovered.
- Tuesday,
November 12, 2002- Maria and Anna are stunned to discover that David
had buried a body on the beach. David denies Maria's accusation that he
committed murder and beseeches Anna to help him as Jack arrives. Maria tells
Jack what she remembers about seeing David bury the body and agrees to testify
in court. Anna gives David one last chance to tell her the truth. David explains
that he used the man as part of his research but insists the man died of natural
causes. David further explains he needed the results of an autopsy to evaluate
the effects of the drug and that he would have lost his medical license if he
left the corpse in the morgue because his experimental drug wasn't approved by
the FDA. Jack arrests David on homicide charges. Jack is frustrated when he
realizes Anna is going to stand by David.
- Wednesday,
November 13, 2002- Tad encounters Maria on the beach and both
explain their reasons for wanting to see David punished. Anna warns David not to
tell her too much as she may one day be called to testify against him. David
insists to Anna that he didn't commit murder. After getting the report from the
medical examiner, Jack tells Anna, Tad and Maria that David is telling the truth
about not committing murder. David's attorney, Kenny Adler, insists that Jack
release David. Tad promises Jack that he can uncover why David was trying to
hide the body on the beach if he just had a little more time. Jack gives Tad
thirty-six hours to bring him new evidence. David remains in custody. Tad is
convinced that the experimental drug David used on Maria and Dixie is connected
to his actions on the beach five years earlier.
- Thursday,
November 14, 2002- In Baltimore, Tad and Maria try to uncover
evidence to use against David. Kendall admits to Aidan that she stayed in Pine
Valley because she hoped Ryan would return. Kendall and Aidan's friendship
grows.
- Friday,
November 15, 2002- David's arraignment begins. Jack is relieved when
Tad and Maria finally arrive in the courtroom armed with evidence to use against
David. Maria takes the witness stand. Edmund attacks David. A concerned Brooke
follows Edmund out. Edmund tells Brooke he belongs with Maria in the courtroom.
In spite of Maria's testimony, the judge explains that the law dictates that
David be released. Not wanting David to walk free, Maria suddenly claims that
she remembers everything.
- Monday,
November 18, 2002- David tends to Edmund after he collapses outside
the courtroom. Maria takes Edmund back to the hospital. Maria vows to make David
pay for his crimes, even if she has to lie on the witness stand. Edmund implores
Maria not to give false testimony explaining that it would go against her
character. Maria embraces Edmund, grateful for the chance to get to know him all
over again. David admits to Anna that he knew the drug he gave Maria would
destroy her memory. David explains he kept his research a secret in order to
reap the rewards alone. David is released on bail.
- Monday,
November 25, 2002-
Edmund is concerned for Brooke when he learns of her affair with Adam. Maria
takes Edmund home from the hospital. While at Wildwind, Maria has a memory of
her and Edmund together from several years ago. Anna officially resigns as Chief
of Police. David regrets the sacrifice Anna made for him. Trey apologizes to
David and explains why he didn't attend Leo's memorial service. Trey offers to
help with David's legal battles. Trey advises David and Anna to re-marry as soon
as possible. Anna is stunned by David's negative reaction to Trey's suggestion.
David explains to Anna that he wants to wait and marry her for all the right
reasons.
- Tuesday,
November 26, 2002- Maria is hopeful that her memory might be
returning. Edmund encourages Maria to go to Zeke to see what she might remember
under hypnosis. Maria is discouraged when she is too agitated to be hypnotized
by Zeke. Meanwhile, Edmund refuses to talk to a reporter about Brooke and Adam's
affair. Edmund goes to see Brooke, who has an emotional outburst. Brooke and
Edmund clear the air between them and their encounter ends on a positive note
when they both agree that they are an important part of each other's lives.
Maria learns that Edmund went to see Brooke.
- Thursday,
November 28, 2002- Maria joins Edmund and her family for
Thanksgiving dinner at Wildwind. Hayley informs Edmund of her new job offer in
Los Angeles and voices her concern of taking Mateo away from his family while
fearing she may grow to resent Mateo if she doesn't accept this opportunity.
Meanwhile, Mateo voices his similar concerns to Maria. Anna, Maggie, Aidan and
Mary arrive at the loft to prepare Thanksgiving dinner with Trey and Kendall.
Aidan tells Kendall he is thankful she is his friend. Meanwhile, David reaches
out to Greenlee and convinces her to visit the boathouse with him as they
remember Leo. David takes Greenlee back to the penthouse, where she is moved to
find that Trey, Anna, Kendall, Maggie, Aidan and Mary have arranged a beautiful
holiday dinner.
