to journey to Paris, and David arrives to join the party.

Anna's rescue when a stranger appears poised to do harm to Anna, and shock
illuminates Anna's face when she finally manages to see the mystery man's
papers.

Anna acquaints herself with her nephew, Aidan,
while Jake tends to David's injury. Fear strikes David's heart, and David
unnerves Anna with his next course of action.

David issues an ultimatum when Anna defends

evidence against her nephew.
