"It was so much fun when you guys would do your 'Most Beautiful Women' covers. I remember I got picked one year [4/3/90] and I was like, 'No way!' I had on this purple, strapless dress and I was on the cover with three other women, including Finola Hughes [ex-Anna, GH/AMC] and some gal from Dallas [Cathy Podewell, ex-Cally] and Katherine Kelly Lang [Brooke, B&B]. I thought, 'Oh, my gosh, this is huge,' because Finola Hughes was one of the biggest women on daytime. That was so exciting to be on a cover with her." -Melissa Reeves on which was your most memorable Digest cover (SOD 11/22/05)  Click here to see that cover.

After repeatedly missing John's episode, I finally caught it this weekend. His joke about everyone not knowing any of his lines but all of Finola's from Stayin' Alive was hilarious.

Finola's love for fashion has led to design her own jewelry line, emcee who's wearing what on the red carpet, and now she's host of her own show on The Style Network.

Finola Fashions Herself a New Future! Hughes is not one to let grass grow under her feet now that she has wrapped up her full-time AMC run and relocated to Los Angeles. For in addition to possible recurring appearances on AMC, she also has on her slate the launch of a jewelry collection, her hosting of a style show and the authoring of a book.
Recalling the impetus behind the Finola Hughes jewelry line, designed by Sol Rafael, the actress says, "Our main focus is on making pieces for everybody." So while the collectin boasts some baubles that are more akin to Emmy night than a PTA meeting, Hughes says "We're also going to offer smaller pieces that are very modern and very wearable."
SID also has confirmed that Hughes will host Style Network's coverage of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring Collections 2004, starting Sunday, September 14 (September 15 on E! rebroadcasts). "It's going to be really fun," says the co-host of SoapNet's Daytime Emmy arrivals special.
Lastly, SID hears that the Emmy winner/fashionista has been signed to pen a book, but details were not available at press time. (SID 9/16/03)

Soap Actress to Host Fashion Week Coverage (Yahoo News, Aug 22, 2003) NEW YORK - Finola Hughes will host the Style Network's coverage of New York Fashion Week, which will be held Sept. 12-19 at Bryant Park in midtown Manhattan.
She will be joined by Lloyd Boston; Brini Maxwell, host of Style's upcoming "The Brini Maxwell Show"; and "Behind the Velvet Ropes" host Lauren Ezersky, the cable network announced Wednesday. Style is the official broadcast TV network of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
"I'm thrilled to be joining the Style team," the actress said in a statement. "The network has given me the unique opportunity to enter the lifestyle genre, one of my passions, as part of Style's Fashion Week team."
Hughes (Anna Devane on ABC's "All My Children") recently designed and launched her own jewelry line with Sol Rafael. Three tents will be set up in Bryant Park for press and retail buyers to view the spring 2004 collections by Kenneth Cole, Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, Vivienne Tam, Anna Sui and other designers.
